Job Summary

The Superintendent Pharmacist at Sunbeth Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a subsidiary of Sunbeth Global Concepts, is responsible for securing regulatory licences, ensuring pharmaceutical compliance, supervising medicine operations, maintaining statutory obligations, and overseeing NAFDAC product registration and regulatory programs.

Job Details

• Licensing: Act as the named applicant for PCN premises registration (Form B pack), drive location approval, host the PCN inspection
• Statutory undertakings: Maintain full registration, current annual licence and MCPD standing.
• Premises operations: Establish and supervise compliant storage, handling and distribution of medicines at the licensed premises, including temperature mapping, cold chain provisions and controlled access to any controlled substances.
• Regulatory program: Oversee the NAFDAC medicines registration program with the Regulatory Affairs & QA Coordinator and the regulatory consultant: NAPAMS applications.
• Pharmacovigilance: Stand up the pharmacovigilance system, including the qualified person for pharmacovigilance framework, the pharmacovigilance system master file and supporting SOPs.
• Import compliance: Supervise the pharmaceutical aspects of importation through the four designated pharma ports, including release checks on arriving consignments.
• Representation: Represent the company before PCN and NAFDAC inspectors, at regulator meetings, and during any audit or inspection of the premises or products.
• Team leadership: Provide professional supervision to pharmacy-adjacent staff and advise the Board through the Pharmacist Director on emerging regulatory obligations.

Requirements

• B.Pharm or Pharm.D from a PCN-recognized institution.
• Full PCN registration with current annual licence; NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
• Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in pharmaceutical importation, wholesale or distribution.
• Has served as Superintendent Pharmacist on a PCN premises licence, or has directly supported a premises registration and inspection.
• Working knowledge of NAFDAC product registration (CTD format, NAPAMS portal) and of pharmacovigilance obligations for marketing authorization holders.
• Sound professional judgment and the independence to say no on compliance matters, backed by statute.
• Organized documentation habits; comfortable owning inspection readiness at all times.
• Clear communicator with regulators; calm under inspection; prepared to hold this as sole full-time employment and to be named on the premises licence.
