    Superintendent Pharmacist/Plant Manager

    Our client is an indigenous Pharmaceuticals & Drug Company. It’s a multi-disciplinary company that was established over 20 years ago as a response to the Governments invitation to private entrepreneurs to establish companies that can compete with their foreign counterparts in the delivery of quality services. Due to expansion, they are in need of a Superintendent Pharmacist/Plant Manager (FEMALE)

     JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Participate and provide input in the articulation and development of the Production departmental strategy.
    • Champion the development of departmental plans, programs and strategies to facilitate the realisation of the Production, and organisation-wide strategies.
    • Oversee all the departments and production processes in the plant.
    • Ensuring that Production and manufacturing operations are carried out in a compliance with current WHO GMP, National Regulatory Authority Standard (NAFDAC, PCN, Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity) and NIS ISO 9001:2015.
    • Ensuring product availability through production planning and control techniques such that monthly, quarterly, and annual requirement of Pharma Sales and marketing are met.
    • Totally responsible for ensuring / monitoring continuous improvement of Good Manufacturing Practice on process-by-process basis
    • Capacity utilization of the plant, Process control/ validation Manufacturing and materials usage
    • Responsible for the authorization of manufacturing process, releasing and delivery of finished goods
    • Responsible for registering the company premises and carries out regulation as contained in the chapter 152 of the pharmacy law
    • Responsible for on job training and development of personnel as well as their health and regular liaison with Health authority and advises management accordingly
    • Shares responsibility with maintenance team in ensuring that all production equipment are well standardized and certified and government policies and regulation regarding the safety of equipment, building and personnel are always adhere to
    • Responsible for registration of all our company products with regulatory authorities
    • Carry out other functions within or outside the plant as may be assigned by management.
    • Handling of market complaint with QC/QA
    • Oversee the registration and renewal of the premises licence with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN) annually.
    • Countersign all BMR of each batch production.
    • Oversee the activities of the regulatory unit as it concerns compliance, registration and renewal of licences.
    • Staying abreast of GMP, Pharmacovigilance and CGMP guidelines regarding product development and compliance.
    • Implementation of CAPA
    • Stay abreast of innovations, advances and trends in production management and regulations from the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria.

     JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • A university degree in Pharmacy.
    • Must be registered with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN)
    • Must have demonstrated experience of 7-9 years in a similar role in pharmaceutical companies working in a similar capacity with the ability to manage production of pharmaceutical products.
    • Must be conversant with compliance, quality and industry regulatory requirements.
    • Detailed and up to date knowledge of Drug Laws, and Regulatory and production processes, Production planning/scheduling expertise, Sound technical background and competence in understanding production processes and systems and their impact on product quality, Quality Systems, statistical evaluation and manufacturing /process knowledge.
    • Experience in validation of plants, equipment, computers and processes.
    • Sound knowledge of packaging analysis/evaluation and in-process requirements/ controls within all aspects of pharmaceutical production.
    • Good Analytical skills
    • Good Communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Market Knowledge
    • Experience in Pharmaceutical Formulations with good Leadership, Managerial and Monitoring abilities
