The Subsurface Engineer will be responsible for analyzing subsurface formations and providing technical expertise to optimize resource extraction.
This role involves conducting detailed geological and reservoir analysis, developing models, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient project execution.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in subsurface engineering principles, accompanied by problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct reservoir modeling and simulation to support exploration and production activities.
Analyze geological data to identify potential hydrocarbon resources and evaluate reservoir performance.
Collaborate with geologists, drilling engineers, and operations teams to integrate subsurface data into project plans.
Utilize advanced software tools for data analysis, visualization, and interpretation of subsurface data.
Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Monitor reservoir behavior and performance, proposing adjustments to optimize extraction strategies.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company safety standards during all subsurface operations.
Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in subsurface engineering.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in subsurface engineering, reservoir evaluation, or related disciplines.
Proficiency in reservoir modeling software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
