Job Description

• Trucrete Solutions Limited is seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer to oversee the structural engineering aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design review, site implementation, quality control, and ensuring that structural works are executed safely and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and review structural analysis and engineering calculations for construction projects.
• Review structural drawings, designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Supervise the execution of structural works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure structural works meet applicable codes, standards, quality, and safety requirements.
• Monitor construction activities involving foundations, columns, beams, slabs, reinforcement, concrete works, and other structural elements.
• Identify and resolve structural and technical issues encountered during construction.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken where necessary.
• Review construction materials and ensure they meet required structural specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports, site reports, calculations, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with Architects, MEP Engineers, Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor structural works against project schedules and support the timely delivery of projects.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in structural engineering, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, design principles, construction methods, and relevant engineering standards.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and relevant structural engineering/design software.
• Proven experience supervising and inspecting structural construction works.
• Ability to interpret and review structural drawings, calculations, specifications, and other technical documents.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations, and other structural systems.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• Relevant professional registration/certification, such as COREN, will be an added advantage.
