Job Brief

We are looking to hire a structural engineer that will be responsible for the design and structural analysis of new or existing communication structures for wireless telecommunication sites. The structural engineer will also manage telecom site design projects.

To succeed in this role, you should have hands-on experience using several construction methods and materials and advanced knowledge of AutoCAD. Candidate should have a fantastic project and budget management skills with great knowledge of construction processes, materials and legal regulations. He should also be COREN certified

Responsibilities

• Design structural components for large-scale projects, including analyzing survey reports, topographical maps, zoning restrictions, and client requirements to ensure specifications meet project goals
• Management of CAD Design team members in preparation of equipment and antenna layout drawings for lease exhibits, zoning drawings, and construction drawings
• Review blueprints, plans, and change orders to verify the structural integrity of materials and designs, perform complex calculations and use modeling methods to ensure correct results
• Create structural models by using computer-aided design software
• Conform design to local jurisdictional requirements for land use and permitting
• Measure loads and pressures caused by environmental or human influence
• Consult with and provides guidance to project stakeholders and managerial staff regarding engineering requirements for the construction of various designs, modifications, and structural repairs.
• Ensure construction projects are executed in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner
• Carry out technical and feasibility studies that satisfy technical specifications
• Determine construction costs, local and professional building regulations, environmental impacts, and other factors that can affect project implementation.
• Direct and supervise all workers for all civil infrastructure works across our project.
• Use Computer-aided design software and drawing tools to accurately render and communicate designs; plans and design other necessary and related systems and structures
• Interpret and explain plans and other construction drawings to workers, stakeholders, etc.
• Use AutoCAD and other drafting software programs to create 2D design documents and 3D models for individual components and overall structural plans according to client needs and project requirements for deliverables
• Analyzes tower and rooftop structures and foundations using hand-calculations, tower analysis software (RISA 3D and TNX Tower) and other accepted engineering methods
• Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in an architectural or engineering environment
• Proficiency in the use of Computer-Aided Design is a must-have
• Very Decisive with excellent critical thinking skills
• Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing and giving presentations
• Possession of at least one professional certification such as PMP or COREN
• Expert experience in project management.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Three-dimensional conceptual skills.
