One Precious Life (OPL) Academy is a fast-growing employment accelerator connecting job seekers to job opportunities in Nigeria’s construction industry. We have trained over 1,000 artisans till date and have a goal in view to support more than 1M artisans in Nigeria.

We are approaching the growth stage in our company and are looking for a Strategy and Operations Lead with a strong knack for execution to support our team to realize its goals. 

Job Description for Strategy and Operations Lead

The Strategy and Operations Lead will be responsible for the following:

• Strategy Execution

1. Supporting the CEO to develop and execute effective growth strategies and processes for the organization

2. Working with the CEO on budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation programs

3. Providing accurate and timely reports outlining the operational condition of the company

• Team Management

1. Assisting the team to set challenging but realistic goals for growth and performance 

2. Tracking the team’s performance for maximum productivity

3. Motivating and encouraging  members of the team at all levels as one of the key leaders in the company 

4. Fostering a growth-oriented, positive and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures and guidelines

• Partnerships Support

1. Forging strategic partnerships and relationships with clients, partners, funders and all other professional business relationships

2. Working with the CEO in the fundraising process, participating in the company’s roadshows.  Meeting, interacting and presenting information effectively to potential funders

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Strong passion for human capital development, particularly supporting underserved youth

• Organized, operations-savvy and detail-oriented: Great at leading projects, prioritizing and keeping everyone on track (and in the loop) to deliver on plans. 

• Compelling communicator: Communication style is authentic yet persuasive, excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Logical problem-solver: Able to break down thorny challenges, and solve complex problems

• Hands-on experience coordinating multiple teams and projects

• Proficient in MS Office tools, Trello and/or other project management tools. Should be excited to use tech to automate our processes, and should be  comfortable and confident learning new tools

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor of Science in any discipline

• At least 5 years experience in Consulting, Project Management, Business Administration or  related field
