    Storekeeper

    Job Summary

    • The Storekeeper is responsible for the effective receipt, storage, issuance, and control of engineering materials- pumps, valves, spare parts, and related accessories.
    • The role ensures accurate inventory management, proper material handling, and timely availability of stock to support project execution, maintenance, and customer deliveries.

    Responsibilities

    • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials (pumps, valves, spare parts, accessories) against delivery notes, purchase orders, and specifications.
    • Ensure all materials are properly labeled, coded, and stored according to company standards and manufacturers’ requirements.
    • Maintain accurate stock records using manual logs and SAP inventory management system.
    • Conduct regular stock counts, inventory audits; investigate and report discrepancies.
    • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and raise timely requisitions to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
    • Issue materials to project, or service teams based on approved material requisitions.
    • Ensure proper handling, stacking, and preservation of stock to prevent damage, corrosion, or deterioration.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment in line with health and safety standards.
    • Manage storage layout to optimize space and ensure easy identification and retrieval of items.
    • Prepare and maintain Goods Received Notes (GRNs), delivery notes, and stock movement records.
    • Ensure all store transactions are properly documented and filed for audit and traceability purposes.
    • Generate periodic inventory reports, including stock status, slow-moving items, and obsolete materials.
    • Ensure materials received meet quality and technical specifications, report non-conforming or damaged items. Support loading and offloading of pumps, valves, and related equipment, ensuring proper use of handling tools.
    • Assist in arranging dispatches and deliveries to clients or project sites when required.

    Education ad Other Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • 3-5 years’ experience as a storekeeper or inventory officer, preferably in an engineering or industrial equipment environment.
    • Ability to use inventory software and MS excel.
    • Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
    • Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy items where required.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
