Statistician at Redwire Marketing Consulting

As a Statistician, candidate will be responsible for analysing and interpreting numerical data to enable informed planning and decision-making. S/he will gather data, apply statistical and analytical techniques to data, and identify trends based on the results of their calculations and projections for valuable outcomes.

Specific job functions include:

• Work with Data Analysts to solve business problems using statistical techniques and advanced programming language
• Analyze data using statistical techniques, formulas, and calculations
• Perform statistical tests to determine the reliability and accuracy of results
• Ensure data integrity by performing rigorous cleaning, error checking and validation
• Interpret statistical models and numerical data to help in decision-making processes
• Contribute to strategic planning by identifying industry trends and preparing forecasts
• Document processes and keep informed of technological advancements in the field of statistical analysis
• Decipher complex information to employees and stakeholders who may not be specialists
• Present statistical findings to management in reports that include executive summaries, charts, tables and graphs
• Create and maintain databases using statistical software programs, such as SPSS, SAS or Stata
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Statistician or in a similar role
• Proficiency in statistical software programs, including SPSS, MATLAB, R, or equivalent.
• Advanced knowledge of statistics, statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests.
• Experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SAS, SPSS etc.)
• Exceptional ability to interpret data and analyze trends, as well as preparing industry outlooks and forecasts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amounts of data with high amount of attention to detail and accuracy
• Extensive experience in summarizing and presenting findings in reports
