Stacker Operator at Lafarge Cement

The Stacker Operator is responsible for operating stacking equipment to organize and stockpile materials such as raw materials; ensuring efficient material handling, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate stacker equipment to transfer, stack, or store materials in designated areas.
• Monitor stacking operations to ensure proper organization and avoid material overflow, chute blockage.
• Ensure materials are stacked according to company protocols or project specifications.
• Perform pre-start and post-shift inspections of stacker equipment.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or wear for timely repairs.
• Follow all safety protocols to minimize risks during operations.
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment around stacking equipment.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and report unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with team members, supervisors, Crusher control operator to align material stacking position.
• Notify supervisors of any operational challenges or equipment issues.

Required skills

Working knowledge of cement manufacturing process.Working knowledge of equipment operation procedureSolid knowledge of drilling machines operation.Knowledge of safety regulationsAbility to troubleshoot and problem solveMachine Main System knowledgeGood communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team

Experience

• Minimum of 4-5 years’ post-qualification experience

Education

• Other Degree or equivalent in any Engineering discipline
