Specialist, Application Architecture
Supports the interpretation and implementation of the standards and direction of architecture within the applications domain

Competence Requirements

• Support the definition of application architecture standards within
• ACDS and the Group
• Maintain application architecture standards
• Define how the different application components will need to interact
• Ensure the application design at project/ programme level is aligned with the application architecture standards
• Support project teams during the analyse and design phase by
• Support definition of solution architecture as may be required
• Perform solution architecture design review across all phases of a project’s lifecycle
• Support the technology strategy articulation process by defining target state blueprints for the Company application landscape
• Preferred software design patterns agreed with relevant stakeholders within the Company
• Minimization of redundant applications or application features within the application
• landscape
• Reduced complexity of information exchange
• Updated application
• architecture roadmap released on schedule

Specification/Qualification

• First-hand knowledge of architecture development / management
• Proven architecture modelling skills
• Good understanding of application architecture standards and components
• Experience in architecture design, application
• development and project management
• Broad knowledge of development platforms, languages and technologies
• English

Educational Qualification  
Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related areas

Professional Qualification
Possession of the following certifications is recommended: ITIL, CGEIT, TOGAF, COBIT

Desired Experience 
4 to 7 years of functional experience
