Software Engineering Intern - NYSC at Norrenberger Financial Group

Norrenberger Financial Group is Hiring!!! We’re looking for a curious and motivated software engineering intern to support the development and improvement of our web and backend systems. In this role, you’ll work closely with experienced engineers, contributing to real projects while growing your skills in a supportive and fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn by doing—building features, fixing issues, and gaining exposure to modern tools and best practices in software development.

Job Details

• Support the development and maintenance of backend APIs (primarily using Node.js)
• Contribute to frontend development using React when needed
• Help identify and fix bugs, and improve existing features
• Write clean, readable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with engineers on new features and enhancements
• Participate in code reviews and learn from feedback
• Assist with testing, debugging, and documentation of systems and APIs

What We’re Looking For

Core Requirements 

• You will be expected to have an above-average understanding of JavaScript and/or Python
• Familiarity with either Node.js or React (even at a basic level)
• A working understanding of how REST APIs function
• Basic experience using Git or any version control system
• A problem-solving mindset and a genuine willingness to learn
