As Culture Custodian's brand marketing efforts grow, we are looking for a consistent, motivated and creative Social Media Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate is a native English speaker, has 2+ years of experience working in social media, with demonstrable examples of executing successful digital campaigns.
You will work closely with our digital director and be responsible for maintain a strong online presence for Culture Custodian.
You will create, curate, source and publish original copy and visual content, schedule content across platforms and manage responses to our community.
Responsibilities
Create compelling and engaging content for Culture Custodian's distributed platforms including Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Cover live events on Twitter and Instagram
Maintain content calendars and adhere to schedules
Created Culture Custodian branded GIFs and memes for our social channels inspired by trending topics
Work with editorial, video and art teams on social distribution
Communicate and collaborate across multiple teams to generate new ideas and identify opportunities for coordinated coverage.
Other duties as determined by the EIC or Digital Director.
Requirements
Based in Lagos, Nigeria
3+ years of proven work experience creating for a digital brand
Strong communication, multitasking, and analytical skills
Familiarity with content publishing platforms and social media analytics tools
An eye for detail and broad knowledge of the Nigerian entertainment industry
Editorial Experience is a plus
Initiative and a readiness to learn
Ability to occasionally work off-hours and weekends.
