    SME Team Lead

    Job summary

    • The SME Team Lead will be required to lead a team of Sales Executives, Associates and DSAs to sell assigned products and achieve assigned targets.
    • You will lead, coach and manage a team, to help reach daily, weekly and monthly sales, service and productivity goals set by Management team as well as ensure optimum delivery of all personal targets and tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or management.

    Responsibilities

    • Build and drive a team of experienced SME Sales agents to help achieve assigned team targets
    • Drive the sale of the bank's SME loan product by identifying key opportunities
    • Directly responsible for the team Target and ensure expectations are met
    • Constant monitoring and review of loan portfolios to minimize risk
    • Developing growth, sales and expansion strategies and plans to diversify and improve sales
    • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
    • Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation as specified
    • Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans
    • Justify decisions (approvals/rejections) and report on them periodically
    • Update job knowledge on types of loans and other financial services
    • Maintain and update account records
    • Assess customer needs, explore all options to cross-sell and resell
    • Develop referral networks and maintain relevant knowledge of industry
    • Suggest alternate channels and cross - sell products and services to accomplish quotas

    Requirements:

    • First degree in a relevant field. 
    • Minimum of 5 years in financial sales, preferably within the banking or Fin sec.
    • Experience in leading a group of SME officers in achieving set monthly targets.
    • Hand-on experience in building and managing large loan portfolios
