Role Description

• This is a full-time role for an SME Loan Officer based in Abuja, Nigeria, with flexibility. The SME Loan Officer will be responsible for evaluating and processing loan applications, conducting financial analyses, managing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with underwriting policies. The role also involves supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by offering tailored financial solutions and fostering long-term client growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in Loan Origination, Loan Officers processes, and underwriting policies
• Strong understanding of finance principles and loan underwriting metrics
• Excellent Customer Service and communication skills
• Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships effectively
• Proficiency with financial software and tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Previous experience in microfinance or SME lending is a strong advantage
• Ability to work both in-office and remotely with strong time-management skills
• Knowledge of the Nigerian credit and financial services landscape
