Site Engineer (Warehousing & Steel Structures) at Bradfield Consulting

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a competent and proactive Site Engineer with a minimum of 4 years' experience in civil construction, with a strong focus on warehousing projects and steel building structures. The ideal candidate will oversee daily site activities, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and ensure that all work is executed according to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage construction activities on site, ensuring adherence to project timelines, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Supervise the erection of steel structures and manage all civil works related to warehouse construction.
• Interpret and implement architectural and structural drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
• Coordinate and monitor the performance of subcontractors and laborers on site.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control and quality assurance of all construction materials and work.
• Resolve site issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project alignment.
• Maintain accurate records of construction progress, site activities, and daily reports.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards on site.
• Manage procurement and use of materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience as a Site Engineer in warehouse construction and steel building projects.
• Solid understanding of steel structures, pre-engineered buildings (PEB), and warehouse layouts.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and other construction-related software.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret structural designs.
• Willingness to work on-site and adapt to dynamic project demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PEB suppliers or steel structure installation companies.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., COREN, NSE) is an added advantage.
