Responsible for monitoring Bank’s Mechanical/power projects nationwide, ensuring strict adherence to engineering regulations and standards, and conformance to approved project specifications for timely project delivery and maintenance services.
Responsible for ensuring regular availability of generator power supply to Head Office, all branches nationwide and Bank/Directors houses to ensure that banking operations and services requiring electrical power supply at the locations are not hindered by power failure.
Provides oversight for the management and utilization of over 200,000 litres capacity storage fuel reservoirs at the Head Office and Ikeja Fuel Dump for uninterruptable power availability for the operation of generators at the Head Office and strategic locations of the Bank.
Assist in overall sub-unit performance on cooling systems, elevator systems, borehole/ water/ sewage treatment plants, fire safety equipment.
Lead in assisting the Head, Engineering Services with initiating all capital improvement projects or programs including defining the project scope, determining the financial resources, identifying stakeholders internal and external Bank wide.
Lead and manage all aspect of the day to day operations of UPS, Inverters and batteries, work tools, fire safety equipment and associated equipment Bank wide.
Coordinate team members’ activities to ensure individual and team goals are consistently achieved.
Propose policy improvement processes; participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and priories for the department.
Stay abreast of technology developments on local as well global front and convey knowledge to team members.
Monitor changes in regulation and technology in relation to mechanical, power and safety issues that may affect Banking services and implement policy and procedural changes after Management approval.
Plan retirement, budgeting for old and new generating sets, UPS, Inverters and batteries, work tools, fire safety equipment and associated equipment Bank wide respectively.
Responsible for securing approval / permit / certification from appropriate government agency.
Education
First degree or equivalent in Engineering with NSE/COREN membership etc. Higher Degrees/Professional Certifications (an added advantage).
Experience
Minimum experience: 8 years relevant experience needed.
