    Service Engineer, Mechanical

    What will you be doing
    As Service Engineer Mechanical, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

    • Execute planned maintenances and repairing jobs on Wärtsilä OEM engines and it’s auxiliaries
    • Overhaul engine components at site / onboard.
    • Check and adjust relevant systems (i.e., auxiliary,).
    • Perform audit, check performances, and commissioning of Wärtsilä equipment Marine and Power plant.
    • Take a part in the troubleshooting process.
    • Carry out engine product troubleshooting, routine maintenance & components investigation.
    • Prepare service work reports by dedicated tool and travel expense reports on time and with expected Wärtsilä quality.
    • Identify failures, make adjustments, assist on trial runs and testing.
    • Collect and organize time and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required.
    • Working by following the Company guidelines including QEHS requirements.

    Requirements
    To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

    • The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of Mechanical maintenance expertise in Wartsila 4-stroke engines.
    • Nigerian Nationality
    • NYSC Certification (National Youth Service Corps)
    • Have a bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical)
    • Ability to travel frequently within and outside the country.
    • English on intermediate/high level
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft package and PC.
    • Communication skills & customer relations.
    • Good knowledge of Diesel & Gas engine maintenance-related marine and industrial applications.
    • Strong motivation to learn and grow professionally
    • Ability to follow directions & HSE guidelines.
    • Cultural knowledge and bridging the gaps between different cultures
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Collaborative team player.
