Job Description

• Engineering of solutions for various project and operational needs.
• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• Contribute to and maintain system standards.
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
• Support daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
• Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
• Provide escalation support per request from various sources; investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted parties.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
• Participate in on-call escalation rotations for 24x7x365 support; evening, overnight, and weekend, holiday and on-call work may be required.
• Other tasks as assigned by management.
• Design, Administer and support on-premises WinTel/VM servers
• Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.
• Discussing system and server upgrades with IT managers.
• Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.
• Providing technical support for staff and back-end system users.
• Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.

Education/ Experience Requirements

• A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent (Higher Diploma / BE / B.Tech / BSc. in Computer Science / Information Technology
• Minimum of 8 years experience as Server Administrator in a reputed organization.
• MCTS on Windows Server Administration.

Competence Requirements:

• Experience in problem resolution with IT systems and individuals.
• Ability to interact with clients in a clear, concise, professional manner.
• Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Datacentre 2008/2012/2016.
• Microsoft IIS administration and configuration.
• Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration.
• Advance level experience of ADFS, SAML, SSO.
• Solid understanding and working knowledge of complete systems development and deployment lifecycle and of all facets of systems administration in a large-scale IT operations unit.
• Experience managing IT enterprise Physical & VMware Windows servers & services, HP model Server experience mandatory.
• Root CA and Certificate management.
• Strong Disaster Recovery skills.
• Windows Cluster experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good analytical and communication skills.

Salary
N400,000 - N800,000 / month.
