    Senior Quantity Surveyor

    Job Summary

    • The QS will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful financial management of our building construction projects from inception to completion.
    • You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, overseeing material and equipment procurement, preparing detailed bills of quantities, managing contracts, and monitoring project progress in terms of costs and variations.
    • Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency and profitability of our building construction projects.

    Other Responsibilities

    • Conduct detailed cost estimation and prepare accurate bills of quantities based on project requirements, architectural drawings, and specifications.
    • Review tender documents, contracts, and variations in collaboration with the project team and stakeholders.
    • Assess and analyze project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment, to ensure budgetary compliance.
    • Prepare and submit requisitions for procurement of material and equipment.
    • Monitor project expenses, review expenditures, and provide regular reports on cost control, and cost variances.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to identify cost-saving measures.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify and assess work progress, and compliance with contractual obligations.
    • Manage contractual relationships, including contract negotiations, change orders, claims, and dispute resolution.
    • Prepare and review interim and final valuations, payment applications, and invoices for clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
    • Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments to support decision-making processes during the project lifecycle.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a solid understanding of construction practices and methodologies.
    • In-depth knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation, contracts, and relevant legislation.

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Professional certifications or memberships are an added advantage.

    Salary
    N550,000 / month.
