Senior Project Architect at Landmark Africa Group

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing high-rise buildings, leisure and hospitality environments, and beachfront developments. You will lead architectural design efforts from concept through completion, ensuring functionality, safety, aesthetics, and compliance across all Landmark projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and planning of high-rise buildings, beach developments, and hospitality/leisure properties.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and execute world-class structures that align with Landmark’s vision.
• Develop detailed architectural plans, 3D renderings, and construction documentation.
• Oversee site development planning, especially for coastal/beachfront areas—ensuring environmental and structural considerations are met.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical guidance on materials, layouts, and sustainability.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, consultants, and government authorities to ensure seamless approvals and execution.
• Ensure compliance with local and international building codes and standards.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, models, and design solutions prepared by junior architects or consultants.
• Attend site meetings, supervise project implementation phases, and conduct quality assurance inspections.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience in architecture and project design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing experience in high-rise projects, hospitality or leisure environments, and coastal/beachfront developments.
• Professional license (ARCON/NIA or equivalent) is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and other architectural design tools.
• Excellent knowledge of local building regulations, permitting processes, and environmental design principles.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
