Lead process and facilities engineering activities across production systems, with accountability for facility performance, uptime, and reliability. The role is responsible for design, optimization, troubleshooting, and project execution across oil and gas facilities, ensuring effective integration with production operations while supporting cost efficiency and CAPEX/OPEX optimization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development, review, and optimization of process design documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balances, hydraulic calculations).
Drive facility performance and uptime improvements, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.
Lead process optimization and debottlenecking initiatives to enhance throughput and reduce downtime.
Ensure effective integration between facilities engineering and production operations.
Implement and maintain process safety standards, including HAZOP, HAZID, SIL reviews, and Management of Change (MOC).
Evaluate facility integrity and develop upgrade, replacement, and life-extension strategies.
Support field operations in diagnosing equipment and process failures, providing corrective solutions.
Support planning and execution of engineering projects (FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning).
Provide input into CAPEX and OPEX planning, ensuring cost-effective engineering solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5–10 years experience in process, facilities, or project engineering within oil and gas.
Proven experience delivering facility performance improvements and operational support.
Strong understanding of process engineering, production systems, and surface facilities operations.
Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects across FEED, design, construction, and commissioning.
Strong working knowledge of industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, NFPA) and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in process simulation tools (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus, OLGA) and engineering design tools.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering
Relevant certifications or training in process engineering, facilities design, or project management view positively
