Senior Principal Technical Business Analyst at KloudOpp Limited

About the Role

• KloudOpp Limited is seeking an elite, highly technical Senior Principal Technical Business Analyst (TBA) to bridge the gap between business requirements and engineering execution for complex, enterprise-grade software systems.
• This is not a generic BA role — the ideal candidate must have deep technical proficiency, experience with cloud-native microservices, distributed systems, and secure enterprise platforms, and a proven ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into technically precise solutions.
• Candidates must have verifiable experience in FinTech, Banking, Insurance, EdTech, HealthTech, or other core technology sectors, meet US Technical Business Analysis standards, and hold advanced BA or technical certifications.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Requirements & Solution Analysis:

• Gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements, technical specifications, and system interactions.
• Translate business objectives into architecture-informed, system-level requirements.
• Evaluate and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and DevOps teams to validate technical designs against requirements.

Enterprise Technical Leadership:

• Act as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders, engineering, QA, security, and operations.
• Facilitate technical workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and architecture review sessions.
• Mentor junior analysts and engineers on advanced technical requirements engineering practices.
• Ensure alignment of requirements with domain-driven design, event-driven architecture, and microservice principles.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:

• Ensure that system designs and requirements comply with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC2, and other regulatory standards.
• Participate in risk assessments, compliance audits, and security reviews.
• Recommend technical and process controls to mitigate regulatory or operational risk.

Data, Metrics & Analysis:

• Define data requirements, KPIs, and system metrics for monitoring, analytics, and reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to implement data pipelines, dashboards, and telemetry.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of defects, performance bottlenecks, and system anomalies.

Hands-On Technical Verification:

• Review and validate technical implementations against business requirements.
• Participate in testing, production verification, and system validation for high-impact projects.
• Work with engineering teams on integration, API validation, and database design to ensure fidelity to requirements.

Required Experience

• 10+ years in technical business analysis or senior TPM-adjacent BA roles.
• Proven experience in FinTech, Banking, Insurance, HealthTech, EdTech, or core technology platforms.
• Ability to analyze and translate complex technical and business requirements into actionable system-level specifications.
• Experience in cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence C-suite, engineering, and product leadership.
• Must pass security and background checks.
• Must pass a rigorous technical assessment.

Hands-on understanding of:

• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
• Architecture: Microservices, Monoliths, Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design
• Data & APIs: SQL/NoSQL, Streaming, REST/GraphQL, API Governance
• DevOps & CI/CD: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.

 Preferred Certifications: 

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
• PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
• Certified Agile Business Analyst (IIBA-AAC)
• Technical / Cloud Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, CISSP (optional)
• Advanced DevOps, Security, or Compliance certifications are advantageous.

Salary
N1,000,000 - N1,300,000 monthly.
