Senior PHP Developer - Backend Engineer at Moneta Technology Limited

Responsibilities
Backend Development:

• Design, implement, and optimize scalable PHP-based backend systems.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to create cohesive and high-performance web applications.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with third-party services.

Code Quality and Performance:

• Ensure high code quality through testing, peer reviews, and maintaining clean architecture.
• Optimize backend systems for speed, scalability, and reliability.

Database Design and Optimization:

• Design, implement, and maintain efficient database structures for high-performance data handling.
• Write optimized SQL queries and ensure data security and integrity.

Security and Compliance:

• Follow best practices for data security, including encryption and secure access controls.
• Ensure systems meet fintech regulatory standards, including data protection and privacy laws.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and launch new features.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PHP development, with a focus on scalable systems in fintech or tech industries.
• Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Zend.
• Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with RESTful API design, version control (Git), and modern development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Knowledge of security best practices in fintech.
