As a Senior Payment Operations Specialist, you will work across all of our proprietary platforms and be responsible for optimising the performance of our payments infrastructure to help drive sustainable growth, maintain service availability and ultimately maximise payment success.

Own day-to-day monitoring and operations of payments for both the Carry1st Shop and our Pay1st gateway API integrations with B2B clients
Identify payment issues, liabilities and risks proactively then resolve as our first line of defence
Make tactical changes to payment configurations to optimise for payment success
Represent the PayOps function to the rest of the business through reporting on issues and trends
Actively contribute to the Gateway Squad - a cross-functional team of product, engineering, customer support, growth, data and more that looks after Carry1st’s payments infrastructure
Requirements
What makes you a great candidate?
3 - 5+ years in a Payment Operations role - ideally within an e-commerce company or a payment service provider (PSP). We will also consider Customer Support roles that focus on Payments
You obsess over data and actively engage and own payment performance
Strong analytical / problem-solving skills across technical platforms and large datasets
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with a range of people
Experience working in frontier markets with a preference for countries in Africa
Bonus: love of games (of any kind) and real empathy for gamers
