Senior Oracle Application Developer at InfoHob

Job Summary

• The Oracle Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Oracle-based solutions to meet internal and external client needs. This role will contribute to innovation, collaborate with functional teams, resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner and drive continuous improvement in application functionality and user experience, aligning with the company’s technology strategy. Candidate must have at least intermediate knowledge of Oracle APEX and Oracle database and be capable of developing an application using Oracle APEX unassisted. The jobholder may be required to undertake occasional travel to client locations or project sites as operational needs arise.

Key Responsibilities:

People |Consulting | Technical:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze software requirements.
• Create, test, and maintain software applications using Oracle technologies.
• Write clean and efficient code, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Deliver Oracle implementation projects, including forms, reports, and integrations.
• Participate in user support, bug resolution, and technical troubleshooting.
• Support clients by resolving issues and optimising performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the Oracle Application ecosystem.
• Manage technical aspects of vendor relationships for cost and performance optimization.
• Provide other technical and backend support as assigned by the Team Lead.

System Process | Operations

• Develop APIs and web services (SOAP and REST).
• Maintain proficiency with Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Forms, BI Publisher, APEX, UNIX shell scripting.
• Support ETL processes and integrations.
• Use Postman and similar tools for testing and integration.
• Maintain accurate documentation for solutions and processes.
• Ensure high system uptime and availability.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Good hands-on experience on Forms, BI Publisher Reports, workflow and UNIX Shell Scripting.
• Professional Oracle Certifications will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 to 5 years in Oracle Application Express or support roles.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables and prioritize.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and provide scalable solutions.
• Keep up to date with emerging tools and technologies (e.g., SQL Developer, Toad, Python, APIs).
• Works with limited supervision and proactively initiates improvements in development processes.
• Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and manage workload independently.
