    Senior Manager - RMS.Digital Services NG

    Reports To: General Manager - Business Growth

    Division: Digital Services

    Mission:

    • To define the strategy and manage the Rich Media content services portfolio lifecycle (from inception to launch and winding down products that no longer meet consumer needs), which includes enhancements of existing products and services.  The senior specialist analyses market data and customer insights to identify profitable opportunities, make decisions, develop the roadmap and collaborate with strategic partners to deliver world class Rich Media Content Services offerings that shared value, drive optimal customer engagement and increase revenue. 
    • Drive MTN’s Digital strategy and execution in terms of all deployment in the enhancement and promotion of the Nigerian digital ecosystem. This will include but is not limited to digital content development, digital advertising, enhancing the MTN corporate and brand equity, social media and Group digital platforms and properties.

    Description:

    • Review telecommunications market and contribute to the development of strategies for MTNN products and services, demonstrating an understanding of MTNN business strategies and needs of the customer.
    • Develop detailed plans in support of approved strategies, organizing required resources, monitoring and periodically reporting progress of plans. 
    • Direct and provide a strategic framework for product managers to develop new data, portals and messaging products.
    • Develop possible future scenarios of MTNN’s data, portals and messaging product portfolio by considering current and future technologies and determine combination of features and scenarios that will positively impact and satisfy customer’s needs and aspirations.
    • Identify and advise on new opportunities for MTNN to explore by providing products and services based on the evolution of technologies.
    • Design and develop new systems, products and services for multiple market segments, across the entire spectrum of customers addressed by MTNN.
    • Ensure market managers and the rest of the organisation are aligned with the evolution of the product and services roadmap based on new technologies.
    • Drive product and service delivery across the organisation in the medium to long term by agreeing and setting goals cross functionally.
    • Maintain in-life products and services.
    • Ensure full integration of quality management processes and their effective deployment on a day-to-day basis.
    • Use relevant metrics and measures to routinely monitor progress against targets and take appropriate managerial action to ensure targets are met or exceeded. 
    • Provide performance data to support management decision-making.
    • Conduct research on the market and customers, analyze data, search for trends and develop key findings, conclusions and indicated actions from qualitative/quantitative consumer and customer research.
    • Ensure Industry leadership through cutting edge Rich media content services, customer engagement strategies and implementations.
    • Serve MTNN’s customers and provide solutions to improve customer experience.
    • Partner effectively with MTNN’s critical high value customers to enhance MTN’s Corporate Brand
    • Develop strategies and champion customer centric culture across the organization and develop/reform relationships with MTNN’s internal and external customers to transform the MTNN’s revenue.
    • Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g. strategic investors, technical and finance partners, business consultants etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service

    Education:

    • First degree in any Social Science disciplines (MSC /MBA added advantage)
    • Training and certification in Project Management is desirable
    • Fluent in English and language of country preferable

    Experience:

    9 - 17 years working experience comprising:

    • Manager track record of 3 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry 
    • Worked across diverse cultures and geographies advantageous
    • 5 years’ experience in advanced Product Development and Management
    • 12 months in Rich media content and services management
    • 4 years’ experience in advanced Project Management
    • 3 years in co-coordinating a number of external stakeholders such as but not limited to relevant industry regulators and content providers
    • 2 years’ experience in dealing with senior stakeholders within an established organisation
