Senior Laboratory Techhnician at Ascentech Services Limited

ROLE SUMMARY

• The Laboratory Technicians will be responsible for conducting a wide range of construction laboratory tests including soil, asphalt, concrete, and field tests in line with applicable construction standards.
• The role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and maintain laboratory testing for concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Assist with secondary testing related to permeability, strength, and materials acceptance.
• Record and label samples in compliance with construction standards.
• Compile, document, and input test results accurately.
• Ensure the laboratory operates in compliance with accreditation and safety standards.
• Maintain records of equipment calibration and verification.
• Carry out any other assigned tasks within the laboratory operations.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Team-oriented, collaborative mindset
• Good computer skills (mandatory for Senior Technicians)
• Understanding of construction laboratory operations
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform various laboratory tests (soil, asphalt, concrete, field tests)
• High accuracy and reliability in test results

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Laboratory Technicians

• Degree/HND in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, Geosciences, or related field
• 2–5 years relevant experience in a construction laboratory
• Practical experience in soil, asphalt, concrete, and field testing
