    Senior Infrastructure Consultant

    We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Consultant to join our organization on a part-time basis. In this role, you will lead our design team, provide guidance and expertise in infrastructure design, and assist in coordinating design work. Additionally, you will help identify and onboard other part-time design team members, either from within our organization or external hires.

    RESPONSIBILITY

    • Lead and guide our design team, providing technical expertise and direction in infrastructure design projects.
    • Coordinate and oversee the design work, ensuring adherence to project objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
    • Foster collaboration and effective communication among team members to enhance productivity and knowledge sharing.
    • Facilitate regular team meetings, providing feedback, addressing challenges, and promoting a positive team culture.
    • Utilize your expertise to contribute to infrastructure design projects, providing innovative solutions and technical insights.
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define design requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Conduct design reviews and provide recommendations to optimize project outcomes and meet client needs.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations in the design process.
    • Identify and evaluate potential part-time design team members, either from within our organization or external hires.
    • Collaborate with HR and management to facilitate the onboarding process, including contract negotiations and paperwork.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to new team members, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the design team.
    • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages professional growth and development.
    • Review and provide feedback on design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design standards and project requirements.
    • Conduct quality assurance checks to verify the integrity and reliability of design work.
    • Support the development and maintenance of design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
    • Effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders remotely, utilizing appropriate communication and collaboration tools.
    • Provide timely and clear communication regarding project updates, milestones, and deliverables.
    • Foster a virtual teamwork environment that promotes open communication, trust, and collaboration.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, infrastructure design, or a related field. A relevant master's degree is a plus.
    • Professional certifications and memberships in relevant engineering organizations are desirable.
    • Proven experience (typically 7+ years) in infrastructure design, project management, or consulting roles.
    • Strong expertise in infrastructure design principles, standards, and best practices.
    • Experience in leading and coordinating design teams in infrastructure projects.
    • Proficiency in relevant design software and tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality design outcomes.
    • Experience in identifying and onboarding part-time team members is preferred.
    • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
    • Flexible and adaptable mindset to work in a remote, part-time role.
