Senior I.T Officer at MacTay Consulting

Job Summary:

• Senior I.T Officer will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's I.T. infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance of both hardware and software systems and optimizing business performance by assuring the alignment between company’s business processes and technology.
• This role involves the management, maintenance, and support of all technological resources and ensures that the company's information systems are secure, efficient, and effective.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all technological infrastructure in alignment with the strategic business needs of the company.
• Responsible for the planning, analysis, recommendation, implementation of modifications to the company's infrastructure across all stores.
• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs across the various stores.
• Lead and participate in I.T. projects, including the implementation of new systems and technology upgrades.
• Manage the administration and maintenance of the company's infrastructure, including WLAN and LAN at all stores.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on new and existing technologies and systems.
• Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency.
• Manage troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provide expert support when necessary.
• Manage the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies and ensure that company assets are maintained responsibly.
• Develop and enforce I.T. security policies and procedures.
• Respond to security breaches and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree will be an added advantage.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ITIL) is required.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in I.T. management, with a focus on both hardware and software.
• Proven experience in leading and managing I.T. projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
• Experience with server management, including Windows environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with database management and administration (e.g., SQL Server, Sage, Odoo).
