    Senior Human Resource Officer

    Core Functions
    Recruitment & Staffing:

    • Support in developing job descriptions and specifications.
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment cycle (posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews).
    • Coordinate with HODs for staffing needs.
    • Ensure proper documentation for new hires.

    Onboarding & Orientation:

    • Conduct employee induction and orientation sessions.
    • Ensure new hires complete onboarding checklists (documents, IDs, tools, policies).
    • Liaise with Admin/IT for smooth setup of new staff.

    Employee Records & HR Administration:

    • Maintain and update employee database and personnel files.
    • Prepare HR letters (confirmation, promotion, transfers, disciplinary).
    • Handle attendance monitoring and leave management.

    Performance Management Support:

    • Assist in cascading performance objectives (OKRs/KPIs).
    • Follow up with HODs on timely appraisals.
    • Compile appraisal reports for HRM’s review.

    Employee Relations & Engagement:

    • Act as first point of contact for employee concerns before escalation to HRM.
    • Organize staff engagement activities (knowledge sharing, wellness, stay interviews, etc.).
    • Conduct exit interviews and track trends for reporting.

    Training & Development:

    • Identify training needs from performance reviews and manager feedback.
    • Coordinate training logistics (schedule, facilitator communication, feedback forms).
    • Track training completion and effectiveness.

    Compensation & Benefits Administration:

    • Support payroll by submitting attendance/leave updates to Accounts.
    • Administer benefits like HMO, pensions, staff allowances.
    • Respond to staff queries on pay and benefits.

    Compliance & Policy Implementation:

    • Ensure HR policies and labor law compliance are followed.
    • Track contract renewals, confirmations, and expiries.
    • Prepare HR reports for management on compliance issues.

    Reporting to HRM:

    • Provide weekly/monthly HR updates (hiring, attrition, training, welfare).
    • Escalate sensitive employee issues to HRM.
    • Support HRM in strategic HR initiatives (talent management, restructuring, branding).

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess relevant qualifications in a related field with experience.
