Senior Electronics Engineer at Jaykay Group

Role Summary

• As a senior electronic engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective operation for ensuring the safe and effective operation of electrical systems, performing electrical installations and repairs, and troubleshooting electrical issues to maintain functionality and compliance with safety standard.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures in accordance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify defects, faults or malfunctions, and diagnose issues using testing equipment and tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems, such as power outages, short circuits and voltage fluctuations, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality.
• Install and configure electrical systems such as lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels following manufacturer specifications and guidelines.
• Perform preventive maintenace tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting electrical components and systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, code, and standards.
• Install and maintain grounding systems, surge protectors, and electrical safety devices to protect against electrical hazards, shocks, and fires.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports, documenting repairs, modifications, and upgrades
• Respond to emegency service calls, power outages, or electrical emergencies promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following proper procedures for handling tolls, equipment, and hazardous materials.

Requirements and Qulifications

• B.Sc / HND qualification in Electronics Engineering
• Proven work experience of at least 5 years as an electronics engineer with track record of performing electrical installations, repairs and maintenance in a textile/weaving manufacturing company.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards, including NEC, OSHA and local building codes.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with the ability to diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various environments, including confined spaces, heights, and ability to lift heavy objects and equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and head of departments to achieve project objectives.
