Senior DevSecOps and Infrastructure Expert at Vennote Technologies Limited

Job Summary

• Are you an experienced DevSecOps and IT Infrastructure expert with strong technical skills, and the ability to innovate, multi-task, and work in an agile environment? Then, join our team in Lagos Nigeria in revolutionizing customer service with our cutting-edge AI-powered chatbot.
• This is a full-time Hybrid position and successful candidates will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and security posture of our AI-powered chatbot platform. You will be responsible for ensuring its stability, performance, and security while supporting our development teams and driving continuous improvement.
• It is also a senior technical leadership position and requires individuals who enjoy challenges, prioritize, meet deadlines, and have a collaborative work ethic and teamwork spirit leading our team of Software developers, NLP Engineers, data Scientists, Speech Scientists, Analysts, and Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure on Azure. Optimize for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. This includes managing servers, databases, networking components, and CI/CD pipelines.
• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain robust and automated CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery of our chatbot platform.
• DevSecOps Practices: Champion and implement DevSecOps principles, automating security checks and integrating security into the development and deployment pipelines.
• Security Implementation: Implement and manage security best practices across the entire infrastructure and application lifecycle. This includes vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, security audits, intrusion detection/prevention, and access control.
• Monitoring and Logging: Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, security incidents, and system issues.
• Incident Response: Participate in incident response activities, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
• Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure, security procedures, and deployment processes.
• Staying Current: Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud, Azure Cosmos DB, Databases and Kubernetes.
• Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates
• Account for possible project challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope
• Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives and deliveries
• Provide Solution document, technical document and detailed specifications for proposed solutions.
• Have an agile product mentality balancing between finding solutions that deliver high precision/recall, over simpler approaches that can give value to customers in shorter intervals.
• Demonstrate passion, excitement, and real interest in what we do while being respectful of others and fun to work with
• Get involved in all stages of ML lifecycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years plus experience as an Infrastructure expert and DevSecOps engineer
• Proven experience in DevSecOps and infrastructure management, preferably in a cloud-native environment.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud computing platforms.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Solid understanding of security best practices and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST).
• Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools, SIEM).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with AI/ML platforms and related infrastructure is a plus.
• Experience with chatbot technologies is a plus.
