Senior Business Analyst at DP World

Job Context

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Sales & Distribution, data analytics, and business intelligence.
• The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology teams by transforming business requirements into scalable analytical solutions while leading data-driven decision-making across the organization. 
• This role requires expertise in Power BI, Azure Data Platform, database management, and data engineering, along with proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering enterprise-scale analytics solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Partner with Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain, and business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and executive reports using Power BI. 
• Build scalable data models and ensure data accuracy across multiple business systems. 
• Lead business analysis activities, including requirement gathering, process mapping, functional specifications, and user acceptance testing. 
• Work closely with data engineers to design and optimize enterprise data pipelines. 
• Develop and maintain KPIs for sales performance, customer profitability, inventory, distribution efficiency, and revenue growth. 
• Perform advanced SQL queries and database optimization to support business reporting. 
• Manage Azure-based analytics solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, and reporting. 
• Lead and mentor Business Analysts and Data Analysts while collaborating with technical and business teams. 
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process automation and analytics. 
• Support ERP and CRM implementations related to Sales & Distribution. 
• Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Certifications in Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Engineering, Agile, or Business Analysis are desirable. 

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Retail, Distribution, Logistics, or pharmaceutical industries. 
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle ERP, SAP SD, or similar enterprise ERP platforms. 
• Exposure to AI-powered analytics and predictive reporting. 
• Minimum 6 years of Business Analysis experience. 
• Mandatory experience in Sales & Distribution domain. 
• Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C), pricing, inventory management, sales operations, trade promotions, customer management, and distribution processes.
• Expert in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and advanced data modelling. 
• Strong SQL and database expertise (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or equivalent). 
• Experience with Azure Data Platform, including: 
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF) 
  • Azure Synapse Analytics 
  • Azure Data Lake 
  • Azure SQL Database 
  • Azure Databricks 
• Experience in ETL/ELT development and data engineering concepts. 
• Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling. 
• Experience integrating ERP, CRM, and third-party applications. 
• Familiarity with APIs and enterprise integrations. 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is an added advantage.
