We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate – Audit & Assurance to lead and manage audit engagements across a range of industries. This role involves working closely with junior team members and clients to ensure audit quality, regulatory compliance, and the accurate presentation of financial statements.
As a senior associate, you will play a key role in planning and executing audits in line with IFRS, ISA, and Forvis Mazars’ audit methodology, while also supporting team development and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and finalize audits of financial statements, internal controls, and operational processes.
Lead audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
Review audit documentation and financial statements for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Supervise, mentor, and coach junior auditors, providing on-the-job training and feedback.
Identify, assess, and respond to audit risks; recommend practical improvements to client processes.
Maintain strong client relationships and provide timely, solutions-oriented support.
Collaborate with tax, advisory, and other internal teams to deliver comprehensive client service.
Present audit findings clearly to senior management and clients; assist in preparing audit reports.
Stay current with industry regulations, accounting standards, and professional best practices.
Contribute to business development efforts by identifying opportunities for added value services.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification (in progress or completed).
Minimum 3–5 years of audit experience in a professional services environment.
Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
