Senior Architect at Swift Consulting

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, creative, and detail-oriented Senior Architect to join our client’s architectural firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading architectural projects from concept development through construction, coordinating project teams, and ensuring that designs meet client requirements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

The desired candidate must have strong experience in architectural design, project management, construction documentation, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage architectural projects from concept development through completion.
• Develop innovative and functional architectural designs based on client requirements.
• Prepare and review architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Supervise and guide junior architects and other members of the design team.
• Conduct site visits and monitor project progress to ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Review construction drawings and ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Ensure projects comply with relevant building codes, planning regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage project timelines and contribute to effective project delivery.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, design reviews, and project discussions.
• Identify and resolve design and construction-related issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Stay updated on current architectural trends, materials, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Prepare project reports and maintain accurate project documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of BSc/BA in Architecture; MArch is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in architectural design and project delivery.
• Professional registration with ARCON is an added advantage.
• Proven experience managing architectural projects and leading design teams.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, building regulations, and construction processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D visualization software, and other relevant design tools.
• Excellent design, technical drawing, and project management skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret and develop architectural drawings and construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Must be creative, organized, proactive, and team-oriented.
