Job Role / Objectives

• We are a leading construction company seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architect to join our team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for designing new buildings, extensions, and modifications to existing structures.
• This role involves both creative architectural design and technical drafting, including preparing and updating civil drawings in compliance with CAD data management standards.

Position Overview / Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and modify blueprints and architectural plans using hand sketches and CAD software.
• Collaborate closely with civil engineers to produce practical, safe, and buildable road and drainage designs in AutoCAD
• Manage and analyze construction measurement data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure projects adhere to financial budgets and deadlines
• Prepare and revise detailed drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Liaise with the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team to update drawings reflecting design changes
• Review and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and related customer documentation.
• Resolve design-related issues arising during construction phases.
• Lead and supervise the preparation of dimensional, civil, and complex architectural drawings.
• Report progress and improvement plans to the Design Units Team Lead;
• Serve as a key resource on planning and design aspects of civil structures.
• Identify construction-specific opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Architecture from a recognized University.
• Membership in an internationally recognized architectural professional body.
• Minimum 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in project execution and coordination within construction.
• Proficient in CAD software and architectural design tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mathematical skills.
• Excellent time management and the ability to handle competing deadlines efficiently.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and capability to work independently with great attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to continuously learn and develop professionally
• Ability to work with design engineers, clients and contractors.
