Job Description

• The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting records, compliance with financial regulations, and proper reporting.
• The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, trustworthy, and experienced in managing full-cycle accounting in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting:

• Maintain accurate financial records and general ledgers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Track revenue, expenses, budgets, and cash flow.

Regulatory & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions, and remittances (PAYE, VAT, WHT, Pension, ITF, NSITF).
• Liaise with auditors, tax offices, and regulatory agencies during audits and filings.
• Maintain documentation required for tax audits and regulatory reporting.

Financial Control:

• Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
• Approve expense requests, verify supporting documents, and ensure policy compliance.
• Monitor asset ledger, depreciation schedules, and inventory records.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare management reports including cash flow forecasts, P&L, balance sheets, and variance reports.
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
• Support budgeting and long-term financial planning.

Team Support & Coordination:

• Supervise junior finance staff and ensure accuracy of entries.
• Support procurement and operations with cost analysis and financial review.
• Ensure timely submission of departmental financial data.

Key Requirements

• BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ICAN/ACCA is an added advantage).
• Minimum 5–6 years relevant experience in accounting.
• Expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho Books).
• High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines

Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 monthly.
