Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a clear pathway to Controller. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant seeking to advance their career while taking ownership of critical accounting operations in a multi-faceted business environment spanning manufacturing, retail, and e-commerce.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Accounting Operations: Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
• Period-End Close: Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation
• Budgetary Control: Enforce budgetary control and compliance across all departments
• Financial Controls: Implement and maintain robust financial controls to prevent errors, fraud, and ensure regulatory compliance
• Audit Management: Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal audit processes to maintain transparency and accuracy
• Team Leadership: Supervise accounting staff and ensure proper training on accounting procedures and system updates
• Tax Compliance: Manage tax compliance, including sales tax for e-commerce operations and corporate tax obligations
• Policy Development: Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with GAAP and industry best practices

Requirement and Skills

• Professional Qualification: Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Industry Experience: Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail and/or E-commerce experience required
• ERP Expertise: Minimum 4 years of ERP experience
• Overall Experience: At least 5 years of overall experience with a strong background in financial reporting and audit/compliance
• Period-End Experience: Proven experience with period-end closing within the last 2-3 years
• Multi-Currency: Experience with multi-currency operations
• Technical Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
• Accounting Standards: In-depth understanding of GAAP/IFRS
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial data analysis
• Must have excellent Internet connection, working laptop and ability to adjust work hours to Central Standard Time (Between 9 am - 5 pm Central Standard Time).
