Senior Accountant at Amazon Energy Limited

A leading diversified energy services provider is looking to engage a Senior Accountant to be responsible for maintaining full and systematic records of business transactions and also assist to depict financial status of the businesses.
Reports: Finance Manager
Supervises: Accounting Officers 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Ensure all business transactions are recorded completely, correctly, timely in chronological sequence by each entity
• Ensure all month-end cut-offs, revenue recognition, financial expenses and income have properly been made and recorded by each entity
• Ensure all accounting ledgers have been properly reconciled at each month-end and corresponding Month-End Checklists have been signed off by Accounting Officers
• Close the Accounting/Booking Period by the 3rd. working day after Month- End
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet, P&L and cashflow statements by 5th working day after month end
• Prepare annual returns

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 
• Must have at least 5 years’ cognate experience in Financial Accounting or related field and Oil & Gas Industry with at least 2 years in senior finance function. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION 

• Must possess at least First Degree in Finance or Accounting. 
• Master's Degree or Professional Certification in related field would be an added advantage. 
• Knowledge of relevant ERP or accounting software is added advantage

Monthly Net Salary Range (N) - *dependent on experience*
