As our Seed Production Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of field-level seed multiplication, ensuring quality, compliance, and yield performance across maize, rice, soybean, and other key crops.
You’ll work closely with outgrowers, input suppliers, and internal agronomy staff to deliver certified seed that meets our eco-friendly and high-yielding standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage seed production schedules and planting timelines
Supervise seed multiplication plots and monitor crop performance
Coordinate with farmers and outgrowers under production contracts
Ensure adherence to seed quality standards and regulatory requirements
Track input usage, crop health, and field activities
Collaborate with the soil and pest management team to maintain healthy crops
Support post-harvest seed processing, packaging, and storage
Maintain accurate records and generate regular field reports
Requirements
B.Sc. or HND in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field
2–4 years’ experience in seed production or field agronomy
Knowledge of hybrid seed systems and varietal purity standards
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to supervise farm laborers and outgrowers effectively
Proficiency in farm data collection and basic digital tools
Willingness to travel within Kaduna/Benue and surrounding production sites
