    Security Officer

    As a Security Officer, you will support in shaping and fortifying the company's security posture with a focus on implementing a security framework and ensuring the safety of both assets and personnel. 

    Job Details

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess current vulnerabilities and define risk mitigation strategies.
    • Support the Chief Security Officer to establish policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a consistent and effective security posture across the company.
    • Reviewing existing security measures and updating protocols as deemed fit.
    • Fostering a culture of physical security awareness by conducting training sessions and communicating with personnel across the group
    • Oversee the implementation of physical security and safety measures to safeguard company premises, assets, and personnel.
    • Conduct regular security audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
    • Provide training sessions to employees on personal security measures and situational awareness.
    • Establish and lead a crisis management team, ensuring readiness to respond effectively to security incidents.
    • Conduct investigations as assigned by the Chief Security Officer, into security incidents, breaches, or violations to identify root causes and prevent future occurrences.
    • Develop and test crisis response plans to ensure their effectiveness.
    • Support the establishment of a robust intelligence-gathering system to monitor and analyse threats related to insecurities.
    • Collaborate with external intelligence sources to stay informed about regional and global security trends.
    • Foster strong relationships with local and regional law enforcement agencies to enhance the company's security posture.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • Hands-on security experience preferably in a corporate setting
    • An Ex-serviceperson not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police or its equivalent in the Armed Forces
    • Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and intelligence gathering skills
