Security Guard (Hospital Environment) at Meditrack Limited

Job Summary:

The Hospital Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, visitors, and hospital property. This role requires vigilance, professionalism, and a calm demeanor in handling emergency and non-emergency situations, contributing to a safe healing environment within the hospital premises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor entrances, exits, and hospital grounds to prevent unauthorized access and ensure safety.
• Conduct regular patrols of the hospital facility, including wards, parking areas, emergency units, and restricted zones.
• Manage visitor access and enforce hospital visitation rules and ID requirements.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency calls, including fire, theft, violence, or suspicious activity.
• Assist in managing aggressive or disruptive individuals, ensuring de-escalation and safety.
• Support emergency response procedures (e.g., evacuations, lockdowns, fire drills).
• Maintain detailed logs and incident reports as required.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and report irregularities.
• Work in collaboration with hospital staff and law enforcement when needed.
• Secure doors, windows, and entrances after hours.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and hospital regulations at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of SSCE/High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security, especially in healthcare or high-traffic environments, is an added advantage.
• Physically fit, with the ability to stand, walk, and respond quickly for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response protocols is a plus.
• Excellent communication and observation skills.
• Integrity, alertness, and ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Willingness to work on rotating shifts, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to high-pressure environments and occasional confrontations.
• May work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Required to wear a security uniform and ID badge at all times.
