Security Coordinator at Halogen Group

Job Summary:

• The Security Coordinator is responsible for supporting and implementing security operations and procedures across assigned facilities or project sites. The role ensures adherence to corporate security protocols, assists in the protection of personnel and assets, and acts as a liaison between security teams and operational departments. This position is critical in ensuring day-to-day coordination of physical security and emergency response activities in line with oil and gas industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of security plans, including access control, perimeter protection, visitor management, and surveillance.
• Monitor and report on security operations across designated areas or sites.
• Coordinate deployment and activities of security personnel (internal and outsourced).
• Support incident reporting, investigations, and escalation procedures.
• Conduct security briefings and inductions for staff, contractors, and visitors.
• Ensure that CCTV, alarms, radios, and other security systems are functioning and properly maintained.
• Maintain daily security logs and produce regular status reports for management.
• Participate in risk assessments and support the development of mitigation measures.
• Facilitate coordination with local authorities, community leaders, and emergency services when necessary.
• Assist in planning and executing security drills and response exercises.

Key Requirements:

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Studies, Criminology, or a related field.
• Security certifications or training (e.g., ISPS, OSHA, First Aid, HSE Level 1-3) are advantageous.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a security role, ideally in oil and gas, construction, or critical infrastructure.
• Prior experience working in high-risk or remote environments is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of physical security systems and emergency response procedures.
• Strong observational, organizational, and reporting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Technically familiar with CCTV, access control, and security radio operations.
• Able to work in rotational shifts, including offshore assignments if required.
