Security Control Room Operator at DAG Industries Nigeria Limited

Job Summary

• The Security Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling security systems from the control room to ensure the safety of people, property, and assets.
• The role involves continuous surveillance, incident reporting, and prompt coordination with security personnel and emergency services when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarms, and other security equipment in real time.
• Detect, analyze, and report suspicious activities, security breaches, or safety hazards.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs of incidents, daily activities, and system operations.
• Coordinate with on-site security guards, supervisors, and emergency responders during incidents.
• Control access to restricted areas through electronic access systems.
• Ensure all security equipment is functioning properly and report faults or malfunctions immediately.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and security protocols at all times.
• Provide support during investigations by retrieving and preserving CCTV footage.
• Maintain confidentiality of security information and reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE / OND / HND (depending on organization requirements).
• Proven experience in a security control room or surveillance role is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, alarm monitoring, and access control systems.
• Good communication and reporting skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to remain alert, calm, and focused under pressure.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Basic computer literacy.
