Core responsibilities

• Instruction and lesson planning: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards, incorporating various instructional strategies. Teach scientific principles in subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science.
• Hands-on learning: Conduct laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and other hands-on activities to reinforce concepts.
• Assessment and reporting: Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment through assignments, tests, and grades.
• Classroom management: Maintain a safe, orderly, and stimulating learning environment. Establish and enforce rules for the classroom and laboratory.
• Student support: Provide academic support and guidance to students, helping them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Professional duties:

• Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and department improvement plans.
• Communication: Communicate with parents and guardians about student performance. Participate in parent-teacher conferences.
• Professional development: Stay current with developments in science education through continuous professional development, workshops, and training.
• Extracurricular activities: Organize and supervise science-related extracurricular activities, field trips, and school events.

Qualifications and skills
