Responsibilities

• Perform health assessments and screenings.
• Administer first aid and emergency care.
• Manage chronic health conditions of students.
• Provide health education to students, staff, and parents.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
• Collaborate with school staff and community resources.
• Develop and implement health promotion programs.

Educational Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred with 2-6 years experience.
• Additional certifications in school nursing or related fields may be required.

Experience:

• Previous nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics.
• Experience working in a school or community health setting preferred.

Skills:

• Nursing knowledge and clinical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development.
• Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health records.

Other Requirements:

• Current CPR and first aid certification.
• Adherence to state and federal health regulations.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Flexibility to work during school hours and attend occasional evening or weekend events.
