School Coding Instructor at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers

Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role based in Iwo for a School Coding Instructor at New Horizons.
• The instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering coding lessons for students at an Islamic school, ensuring a productive and engaging learning environment.
• Daily responsibilities include planning lessons, teaching coding principles and languages, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in coding languages such as Python, JavaScript, or HTML/CSS
• Proficiency in embedded system and robotics is an added advantange
• Experience in instructional design, lesson planning, and classroom management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on mentoring and engagement
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and skill levels
• Familiarity with teaching coding to elementary and high school students is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field preferred
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment
• Possession of a teaching certification or relevant experience in educational settings is an added advantage
