    Sales Representative (Financial Institutions)

    Job Summary

    • Support the Head of Sales in building and maintaining relationships with client’s decision-makers and other influencers within the assigned organizations.
    • Support in growing and increasing the market share of Starsight’s business across Nigeria based on set targets.

    Job Details

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for developing and executing initiatives to increase market share amongst clients/customers by offering customized/tailor-made solutions that meet their business needs.
    • Responsible for ensuring monthly/quarterly/yearly targets are achieved.
    • Responsible for driving sales, profitability, cash collection, growth in new segments, etc across the country.
    • Responsible for ensuring due diligence and KYC processes are followed through during the sales process.
    • Responsible for ensuring adequate approvals are acquired before any technical and commercial submissions are made.
    • Responsible for ensuring that all customer requirements are met in terms of solution specification, responsibility matrixes, contract terms, etc.
    • Support in developing business plans for customers/clients’ engagements in each business sector.
    • Responsible for the profitability during the sales stage
    • Contribute to the development of company policies and procedures oversight to ensure that the company complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Foster open and positive culture where employee input is encouraged, and differences are resolved constructively.
    • To support the company strategy, establish, develop, protect, and promote the company brand, ensuring that the brand values are clearly visible externally and embedded into the company’s DNA internally.
    • Identify and be responsible for potential major risks, highlighting any potential concerns in an appropriate and timely manner. For identified risks, priorities and ensure that a robust action plan, with monitoring, is put in place.
    • Responsible for proper documentation of all customer visits and submissions.

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Competencies:

    • Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) in a Business-related field.
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience in sales and business development, with at least 2 years in power or renewable energy sector.
    • Excellent understanding of the renewable energy marketplace, market dynamics, and its’ legal and regulatory landscape.
    • Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices and experience with commercial contracts.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, and recommendations, and drive actions.
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
    • Strength in problem-solving, issue resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
    • Excellent team player with the ability to work with a team to meet the corporate objectives of the organization.
    • Proficiency in the use of Ms Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

    Competencies:

    • Must possess strong market intelligence and competitor knowledge
    • Ability to initiate and execute sales process with new customers at low and middle-level management and with minimal supervision
    • Ability to work seamlessly within the technical and commercial team
    • Ability to develop, interpret, and report business cases
    • Ability to manage sales processes for individual customers/clients.
    • Ability to increase the Starsight market share
