    Sales Executive

    Role Overview

    The Sales Executive is required to be sales-driven and a fast-moving person with a strong customer focus. You are passionate about creating a value for your customers, which ultimately leads to profitable business for both. To identify the right decision makers and influencers as well as the courage to ask the right questions is critical to your success.

    DUTIES OF EMPLOYEE

    8.1.1    Core Functions: 

    • Developing and executing sales strategies and plans in order to achieve sales targets
    • Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of sales personnel. 
    • Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.
    • Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture
    • Understand and effectively communicate the company's value proposition, technology, process, and current partnerships
    • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the business; projecting expected sales volume and profit both for existing and new accounts
    • Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analysing trends, and results
    • Generate and maintain accurate Account and Opportunity plans
    • Work with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer service
    • Analyse pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the sales and marketing teams providing key business insights: typical sharing report relating to Demand Generation, Pipeline Forecast and Trends, Conversion Rates, Target Account, Market Segmentation, Win/Loss, Age
    • Handle customer presentation, quotes, RFIs and RFPs.
    • Preparation of proposals and making presentations
    • Manage and implement the sales forecasting, planning and buyer driven sales and marketing processes, establishing high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency for the sales and marketing organization

    Other Duties

    • Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid management levels
    • Work closely with team on cross-territory opportunities 
    • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends
    • Ability to identify and solve client issues strategically
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Interface with technical support internally to resolve issues that directly impact partners
    • Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams and fosters a culture of continuous process improvement
    • Drive the successful implementation and adoption of the sales and marketing automation platforms
    • Ensure reports and other internal intelligence and insight is provided to the sales and marketing organization
    • Report on key KPIs related to the lead and the opportunity waterfall in order to implement a consistent closed loop between marketing and sales
    • Through reporting and analytics, validate the quality of the lead and pipeline data and provide guidance to improve the overall data quality
    • Define contact and account quality standards in the database, defining processes and data acquisition strategies
    • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development.
    • Occasional travel for Business Meetings.
    • Demonstrating and clearly differentiating the product from the competition focusing on our clear and compelling value proposition

    SKILLS:

    • 1st Degree in Marketing or Sciences (Masters degree is an added advantage)
    • Minimum of 2- 3 years post nysc work experience
    • Proven experience as a Sales Executive in an IT solutions Company
    • Proficiency in English
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages
    • Hands-on experience with CRM software is a plus
    • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
    • Fast learner and passion for sales
    • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
    • Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations
