    Sales Engineer (Flow Measurement)

    Job Summary 

    • The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving profitable sales growth by expanding and maintaining a strong customer base within the assigned region. This role involves close collaboration with sales teams, marketing, engineering, and operations to achieve business objectives. Key responsibilities include lead generation, project pursuit, and order conversion, as well as supporting crossterritory initiatives. The Sales Engineer will develop and implement regional sales and channel strategies aligned with corporate goals while ensuring product and customer qualification requirements are met within the region. This role requires a strategic and resultsdriven professional with a proven ability to identify new business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and drive revenue growth in a competitive market.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities 

    • Achieve sales targets for designated product groups within Nigeria, with potential regional expansion. 
    • Lead the pursuit of major contracts, collaborating with relevant product managers and supporting international projects. 
    • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to drive market penetration and revenue growth. 
    • Gather and analyze market intelligence and customer insights to inform business strategies. 
    • Provide critical input for tender and contract reviews, and support bid preparation when required. 
    • Conduct promotional activities, including product presentations, participation in industry 1exhibitions, and attending conferences. 
    • Maintain accurate and timely sales reporting, including quarterly/annual travel plans, visit reports, contact management, and monthly order forecasting via Salesforce. 
    • Travel is expected as part of the role to engage with customers and stakeholders. 
    • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support business objectives.

    Job Specifications 

    Academic / Professional Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience may be considered.

    Experience 

    • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably with a focus on project pursuit and exposure to the flow measurement market. 
    • Strong commitment to ethics, safety, environmental regulations, and quality standards. 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience in using sales management tools such as Salesforce. 
    • Solid understanding of contract terms, conditions, negotiation strategies, and margin optimization to drive successful business outcomes.

    • Capable of navigating long sales cycles, pursuing largescale projects, and adjusting to dynamic business environments.

    • Skilled in managing existing client relationships while identifying and securing new business opportunities. 
    • Effectively develops and nurtures relationships with distributors, agents, and channel partners to expand market reach. 
    • Confidently delivers technical and commercial presentations to both internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Works effectively across departments, fostering cooperation and alignment with colleagues in sales, marketing, engineering, and operations.
